So I KNOW we have got some Testament fans in here, So where are they eh?

Chuck Billy has one of the best voices I think, Its very melodic yet incredibly aggressive, and Alex Skolnick.....Well he is just amazing!

Check out some of these classic songs.

I don't really know what you're getting at, but I like The Gathering.

Has anyone heard their new album? Worth checking out?

Testament has been, together with Anthrax and the old Metallica, my favourite Trash metal band since I was 11.
That's when I first heard them on a cassette at my uncles place, needless to say I was hooked tongue.gif

Their new album absolutely kick a** too, so I was extremely happy when I put it on smile.gif

By silly I mean it is absolutely sick. They reinvented themselves heavier and pulled it off where post bands try and reinvent themselves and fail. And the new album is a great mix of classic Legacy stuff and The Gathering. Incredible album. I love the whole album smile.gif

I shall definitely check it out then as Legacy and Gathering are, in my opinion, their best works.

Got any favourite songs?

Henchmen Ride, F.E.A.R. and The Persecuted Won't Forget are my favs. The Persecuted song starting riff is one of the sickest things ever smile.gif

I have seen their very first gig in Europe, back in 88 or 87 I think, the Dynamo Show in Eindhoven, god, they rocked the place to the ground, what an amazing live band.

Have you checked out the new album Marcus? It is really awesome thrash metal. Certainly as good as they ever were with Alex back smile.gif

Of course I have their new album, and I like it a lot, even though I liked the last one even better, D.N.R. is just my fave Testament song (together with Alone in the dark)

Posted by: OrganisedConfusion May 9 2008, 06:25 PM

Alone In The Dark is incredible. I love the Legacy album.

Posted by: The Uncreator May 10 2008, 03:48 AM

Im just hoping they come near me someday, before I die. That would be a concert to die for!!

I think the song over the wall has one of the best solos alex kicks it pretty good.... the recently released a cd with all there old tunes redone with all the members of each of the testement years ,,but its all digital and in you face awsome stuff... im a huge fan of the practice what you preach cd.I also have it on tape somewhere aroud here lol... I think they have had many different members at one time or anouther.
