I'm with Enucleation here - it is very important to understand the note values properly, and tabbing is walk in the park then.

Yes we do our own tabs...I get a hang of it with some practice...

Nice and useful... anyway I also thing the program ny itselft it's pretty straight forward. Maybe the problem it's more on music notation itself? Thanks, Tabs are a grey area and we are a little leery of them here at GMC - posting links is just about ok, but no hosting of copyrighted tabs on the forum please ... Thanks, I think there are very few fully legal internet sites that provide tabs of copyrighted songs. Though, if I should want to download a tab, I'd go for www.ultimate-guitar.com, but I do usually make all the tabs I use myself  I also like www.ultimate-guitar.com but www.911tabs.com will give you more variety and includes ultimate-guitar as one of the sources. www.powertabs.net used to be great also but it has been closed for a while now.  To sum it up I mainly use www.911tabs.com Hope this is helpful

Cool - I didn't realize that the standard tab sites also now cover Guitar Pro tab format too(I am aware of Ultimate-Guitar. com and 911 tabs). I also found a site called:
www.gprotab.net that requires registering, but it is free. It seems pretty good but its a bit slow navigating, but whats cool is I found an article that takes you step by step on how to create a tab in Guitar Pro, that might help new users and the original OP: http://www.gprotab.net/articles.php I haven't spent much time reading it yet - just playing around with GP at this point. Also good free documents on Theory. One quick question - Does Guitar Pro 5 have any capability to bring in soundfonts, for better sounds for instruments(such as through VST plug-ins) Or are the instruments pretty well set through their RSE Sound Engine, or through an external Midi sound module(Such as hooking up a keyboard to use for voices). I notice when installing Guitar Pro 5 that it said it was installing various amps(such as vintage amps) but can't find any reference to that in the manual at all.
