I'm asking for recommendations on a good pair of headphones. I'm looking for a set of headphones that keeps the sound in and limits the amount of sound others in the room can hear. Does that make sense?
My wife and I share a home office and sometimes when I want to practice I need to use the headset because she's working. But she has commented several times about hearing what I'm playing through the headphones. I've even lowered the volume but sound still leaks out.
My current set is a Yamaha RH-5Ma.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I would definitely recommend AKG 271 Studio headphones, they are awesome
Both AKG and Sennheiser are great! But I would recommend Beyerdynamic DT-150 (or DT-250).
+1 for AKG Studio, the reference ones.
Thanks for the replies guys! I'm checking them all out right now. I need a pair today
I stumbled across AKG and Sennheiser last night while researching. I'll check out all 3 recommendations. Thanks again for the help.
1+ Sennheiser , a have a similar open model and they are great..They are great for practicing and also for listening to music etc...Don't know how studio monitoring headphones work for just listening music on your Hi-Fi..
Sony Studio Editions.. there a little pricy but i got a pair and love em and the sound crew at the opera house in toronto uses the same 1's
