Sting Englishman in New York is quite cool if you get all the chords right.

Yeah, that one is great!

Actually you can change almost every regular chord progression
into the one with 7th chords, you just need to upgrade each chord with an extra 3rd
to get 7th following notes from key. smile.gif

There's zillions of songs that can be played this way. But you might want to try the following songs.

All the things you are - It's a jazz standard.
six billion people - Paul Gilbert

Hahahaha. Englishman in New York has been played over and over at work the last couple of days. Every time I've been thinking: "There's a maj7 chord" etc...

This is what I like to do also smile.gif

You can also use extended chords such as 9th chords in place of regular triads! (or at least I do laugh.gif , try an A minor 9th chord its gorgeous)

So why not mix and match regular triads, 7th and 9th chords together? cool.gif

P.s im going to pop this in the Practicing forum smile.gif

They remind me of the Electric Tears album, by an Artist who will remain un-named for fear of people thinking I have a narrow taste in music unsure.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
