The key of E (major) has three primary chords. They are E, A and B or B7. So While the rhythm is being played, the lead guitar player can do his solo using the E scale but could the lead guitar player also use the A scale and the B scale when the bass player and rhythm guitar are playing A chord and B chord? The song is still based on the key of E.

Theory books describe stacking the notes of a chord in different order as inverting the chord. The root note now longer becomes the dominant note. My question is... although the theory books don't say anything about the other instruments, is the inverted chord still relying on another instrument such as your bass player or rhythm guitar player is defining the root note of the chord?

Example: C chord has notes; c, e, g. If u inverted the chord so that the order is g, c, e, now the g note has the dominant sound, but is another instrument like the bass, gonna play the c note to define the root note?

Comparing the sound of Marshall 40watt 401 combo (tube amp) to the Marshall 50watt AVT, I noticed because the AVT is enclosed, it has more depth to the bass than the 401 has. I was thinking of enclosing the speaker to gain depth in the bass. Has anyone else done this? What was the result. I know someone will warn about the air flow needed to keep the tube and amp cool. I would leave room for the air flow freely to the amp section but enclose the speaker. I might as well add this warning: Do not obstruct ventilation grille and always ensure free movement of air around the amplifier!

Here are two bridge pickups that are competitive with each other: Seymour Duncan Hot Rails VS. Dimarzio Super Distortion S™. Does anyone have any opinion on which is better, or are they pretty much the same?

I won't list the specs because they are not avail for both but here is the application of both pickups:
High output single-coil-size "rails" humbucker. Great for classic rock, garage, punk, heavy rock, thrash, classic metal and nu-metal.

Anyone ever had a guitar analysis on a guitar Plek and serviced? If so, how was the result?
