GMC Forum _ REC _ Sum 41 Style

Hi GMC, this is my first try for the REC programm, which is a pretty awesome idea by the way. Video is not that in sync with audio, but best i could manage for my first REC try ;-)

Hi mate! Congrats on your first take. It's a pity that the videos isn't in sync, I hope that you could solve it in the future. Another thing to fix on this take is the tone and the mix. I think that your tone is too clean for this style, you should add a bit of drive to it. Also, your guitar should be a bit louder in the mix. Regarding your playing, I can't hear your guitar perfectly all the time but I think that timing is the main thing to fix on this take. As we will start working together at my mentoring program I will ask you to do a new take with some improvements based on my mix and tone comments (and video sync).

Ok, mate, this is just the beginning, keep on the hard work!

Hello there and welcome to the REC zone I think that Gabe pointed out the important stuff - tone and timing, so please take some time to add the necessary amount of distortion to the tone and practice this lesson slow until you are able to play 100% accurate over the original recording. After that, record a new take over the backing track and post it here

Wellcome in the REC section It's great You decided to join it Guys are right - You need to work on the guitar tone and mix with the backing track. If it's not clear enough then it's hard to find all the details to help You improve the playing. Please try to make the guitar louder and brighter (more treble). As far as we can hear by far there are some timming issues. You could focus on drum beats to sychro You guitar with
