Hey guys , I'm going to a buy a new eletric guitar, but I'm not sure which guitar is the one for me, so I'm asking your opinion and I'd like to share with the GMC's community the different options. First, I'm interest in the following features for my new guitar: Very good/top quality in general and sound versatility; Floyd Rose bridge; Thin fret board, to easy play - like the Ibanez Wizar fretboard series; Light body; Pick ups of good/very good quality. My budget is about € 1.500 - € 2.000. Now, I own a Fender american Strato and two different folk guitar. I was thinking Ibanez guitars could be the right choice, especially the Steve Vai Jem /UV series, but I don't like too much the body shape. Also the Ibanez EGEN18 could be the one, but it's a bit expensive. Do U have any suggetion or another choice? I know you have! So tell me!!!! if you are into metal, then put a passive in the neck- that is what I just did with my hellraiser and it made it extremly versatile http://espguitars.com/guitars/ltd-standard.../mh-1000fr.html |

Ibanez S Prestige series (http://www.ibanez.com/ElectricGuitars/Series-s_prestige), but swap the pickups out for Bareknuckle Pickups (http://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/p...?cat=humbuckers.

I would also suggest that you go into several stores and carefully try out as much Ibanez Prestige models as you can. Subtract something for the pickups, so you have enough money to change them (for some Dimarzio ones for example), and you will have awesome guitar.

Because pickups on those are not of best quality. If you get some Ibanez, try using the factory pups, and then try to switch them if you don't like them.
For better clarity and quality of sound, try some branded specialized pickups, like Dimarzio or Seymour Duncan. Other pickups like hand-wounded Bare Knuckle are great choice too.
