Hi mate, ok, we have to work on this! Your solo doesn't fit very well with the chords that sound in the backing track and the way to fix this is to start learning triads and arpeggios and follow with them the chords that sound. The secret at this point is to play less notes but the ones that are more effective.

Ok! So, let's start working on this... the first two things that you must study are knowing how to play a minor chord in 5 positions and a then the arpeggios around this positions. Let's start with this two GP files in A minor.

Great! Now let's combine minor chords and arpeggios in the 5 different positions. Use the following progression to practice it.
Am - Dm - Em - Dm First, play the chords, changing from one chord to the nex that is closer to it, and then moving to a new position. After this, do the same but with arpeggios, playing them in order and finally trying to create melodies. Is it clear? -------------------- My lessons

yes mate, that's correct. You already have all the minor chord and arpeggios shapes in the two guitar pro files that I posted here. Could you check it? Those are transportable positions...

Dieter ok, there is a trick about this! You can transpose those shapes... the lower note is the root of the chord, so you can move them. Let me show you an example. This is Am (the one that appears in the GP file)  If you move it one fret you have A#m:  If you start it from the 7th fret, you have E minor:  Let's start with another shape: Am:  Dm:  The same happens with every shape, does this make sense? -------------------- My lessons

Hello Gabriel !
Its time for me -- i think so - to go again into some Guitar Lesson and after looking and listening to a few GMC Lessons here , Running Wild Lesson from you sounds really GOOD to me ! It is a very hard lesson for me - i know that (Level 4) - but there are some real interesting elements in it and i would like to use this technics and that kind of sound feeling for my own next record on my Seeds falling down on Gaja project ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPezMmIUW3s...9A930936F8A0675 ) So the 3th part should become more hard and aggressive kind of wake up atmosphere the chords on your lesson are not difficult and there are many ways to find some scale ideas. Too on part two there you use some cool palm mute - like it but this is real difficult .... I know my problem rhythm timing working slower .......... I would work on the first part and beside that on the second part of your lesson right now and will record end of the week my first video . Would it be OK for ya to check them and tell me what ya think !? Dieter |
