GMC Forum _ Bands and Guitarists _ Indie Rock

Got fasinated by the Norwegian Indie Rock band: Mindy Misty - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXpv3N4jf_w. Dose anyone know any cool Indie Rock bands? Then let me know

The only band I know of that genre is a german one called Beatsteaks

http://www.myspace.com/thejonnyforest is pretty amazing, the bassist is a good friend of mine (He's an amazing bassist, you should hear him play! He doesn't get to show off as much in the band... No crazy bass solos...). They're just a local band, not famous yet! Not sure what to call them, but I guess indie is as close as I can get. They're not as good on their recordings, much more impressive live, but this might give you an idea...

thanks Zephyr. One of the keystones in Indie is to be true to the music, recording can be anything, old 8-track tape-recorders are preferred. I like that. Here is an example

I know of a bassist too but he has really taken it to the limit and makes almost only solo preformances now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjOqkhG-JUo is too much for most people, but its amazing what he can do with his bass-guitar and some Roland gear.
