Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey mate,

I think the guitar you have used and the lesson fit together perfectly and I think you did a pretty good job here, as well with the video editing. What I had in mind, was that the part from the beginning of the lesson up to 0:25 could be improved in terms of timng. You are slightly, very slightly behind the beat - most probably because you aren't yet accustomed to the positions you are shifting around wink.gif

I'd say, focus a bit on slowing down this passage and making sure you can be dead on, with the timing in the position shifts while otherwise rehearsing the lesson, in order to make it sound more natural and expressive. Playing alongside the original lesson, in order to observe the dynamics in phrasing could always be a good idea.

All the best!

Cosmin

First, your guitar is beautiful!
The sound is very good, perfect for this song.
I like your way of playing, you've given rhythm, groove, which is most important to give feeling.
Glad you're done, very proud of your work.
Greetings!

Lo primero, hermosa guitarra, es preciosa!

Hi MisterM!

I really enjoyed your take and I think that one of the main reasons is that your tone is very warm and fits great with the backing track. You also have a good use of dynamics on this one and the trickier double stop licks are sounding defined. These kind of lessons require to play with a lot of feeling and you are on the right track with it.

The only two things that I note, are some little timing issues, mostly in the first licks, and some bends that are close but don't reach the correct pitch. These are minor things but that would be good to have in mind the next times you practice and record this lesson.

And off course, beautiful guitar!

Ok mate, congrats on your good job, keep on the hard work! smile.gif

Hello Mister M !

You've got a great tone for this lesson. You've also got a good feel too.

As Gabriel said, in the main chord progression the timing is a bit out. I actually think it sounds in front of the beat, too rushed.

For the single note lick at 0:13, you need to pick the note on the A string twice. It seems you only pick it once. Try to get the same picking as Javier there because it drives the rhythm much better.

Apart from those aspects I think it was very good. So just try to get the timing better at the beginning and don't forget to pick the A string twice on that lick.
