my old teacher used to tell me to stretch out my fingers i should stradle my knee with the first two and then move my lef forward so they would streatch and then do that with the next to fingers and then the next. And gradually my fingers were supposed to stretch further. however, i am beggining to doubt this is good for my fingers, * i realize i probably didnt explain what i meant as well but for those of u who understood what i said, is it ok for me to do that excersise or will it ruin my fretting hand?

Stretching the fingers is a good thing, but the way you described seems kind of painful. Is it? unsure.gif

Stretching is good, but man that kind of stretching is like gymnastics style stretching.
