Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

I still need to practice the tricky harmonic parts and most of this lesson more. Even playing slow, it seems I can't get a powerful enough sound with the harmonics like in the lesson. Look forward to your suggestions and tips. Cheers!

Hi DeGroot! Congrats on this take! You are very close to master this one! You can already play well some of the trickier parts. It's true that there are some other that need more practice to sound perfect. The harmonics starting at 00:33 and from there all the harmonics could sound tighter, but it's not an easy work. There are also some little alternate picking passages that must be adjusted (00:50 / 00:52).

Besides these details I must say that you rock. You'll get a 10 soon.

Thank You for that take DeGroot! You've done it with a speed of light smile.gif Very nice to hear such a good take smile.gif

As for the harmonics the slide harmonics sound pretty nice - only some timmming problems there but next harmonics (5th and 7th fret on the 2nd and 3rg string could be a bit more "glued". Those two are a bit hard because trying to get good separation is not about fully removing the fingers. You have to try some experiments, starting from "not separating those notes" to see how softly You need to move the fingers to get it right smile.gif

There is also a trick You missed at the moment of switching the pikcups - I tried to make it smooth with no picking so the bend goes out of nowhere relaying on the 2 notes before picking sustain smile.gif

As Gab mentioned some ending alternate licks need more precission - there is a lick which bases on the triplet scheme but it's played with 16th notes. Try to dig this one...and I'm sure You'll get 10 smile.gif

Hey DG! You're a great player as I always say - as Darius and Gabe have said, the Devil is in the details and by now you know what you need to improve, in order to nail that 10!

What I'd suggest, is to practice this one a little each day and not think of it as a challenge - when it'll be there, it'll be smile.gif If you let it dominate you, chances are that you won't nail it as soon, but sometimes good things creep on us when we least expect them, right? Hope I haven't been ranting silly, so take your time and keep at it! You are doing a tremendous work!

Cosmin
