Trouble Importing Video To Reaper Options

Hello,

I have the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 and I'm having trouble getting the video imported into Reaper. I am using the 64-bit version of Reaper since I'm using Windows 7x64.

I record a video using Logitech's software that came with the camera and it's saved as an .mp4 file. I then drag it into Reaper and it says "Could not import 1 of 1 items!" I tried recording the video using Windows Live Movie Maker and it saves the file as a .wmv. This imported fine into Reaper, but it's very choppy. Also, this isn't a performance issue in regards to my PC. I built it myself and it's quite powerful

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Anyone else with the same webcam that uses Reaper?

edit: Also, I tried converting the .wmv file to an .mp4 using VLC, but it wasn't working and I don't want to download new software until I have to.
