Hey Pedja

Here is my take:

You were by the way right about the Mike Stern and Dave Weckl concert the other day.
It is definitely among the best concerts I have ever heard!

Hi Anders,

I am very happy you went to see that concert and enjoyed it. Let me know when you hear of some coming concerts, will let you know of names worth checking out smile.gif

Your lesson take was good. It could be better in the very beginning but as you went on it sounded 100% like the lesson. Your sound was a bit like Stern's in this one, already influenced by him are you ? wink.gif

Lets get to open triads lessons now for remaining assignments. If you complete that, I will give you for extra non MTP work some other areas.

Hehe I will do that then smile.gif
Unfortunately the jazz festival ends tomorrow.

Haha I have always loved Stern's organ like clean sounds.
I would actually rather try to compose my own piece consisting of triad inversion, before I go on with open triads. I still have problems remembering all these shapes biggrin.gif
Is this okay?

Perfectly OK, do it as your 3rd assignment, apply what you have learned now in your own way and context!

Anders excellent work smile.gif Very creative , you changed the key and kept the cadences I did. Voicings and melody is there and very nice of you to add drums to everything smile.gif

For last assignment of July lets do some improvising over Mixolydian mode! Record backing track (just rhythm guitar will be fine but you can add bass and drums if you want to wink.gif using following chord progression :

// G7 / Fmaj7 / G7 / Fmaj7 ://

Let me know if you got any questions man!

Hello Pedja

I rubbed my nails and finished the assignment smile.gif
I decided to use Band-in-a-Box for the backing for this one..

I hope you like it.

Anders thank you for completing all your work for July. The take was nice and melodic, as you went into it more it sounded more mature. I will close this thread now for GMC management purposes and will open new one for you in August (tomorrow).
