I've been looking at some Marshall 1960 cabinets, and noticed there are different versions of it. The two I've been looking at are the JCM 800 1960 and the JCM 900 1960. They both have the same G12T-75 speakers. Is there any difference between these two cabinets?

one is slanted (1960A). I don't think the GT12T-75 are called "vintage" per se, but since he state them 75 watt I guess it's the original speakers that sits there.

I.e all in all same same but one is slanted as far as I can see.

Ya, it seems like the only difference between them is one is angled and the other isn't. Now I just have to decide if I want and angled cab or not smile.gif

Slanted cabs are better if you want to hear yourelf from your cab as it is directed upwards towards you while a straight cab has a tighter low end but you can't hear yourself as good through it...

Cool, thanks for the feedback guys smile.gif I might get another cab with V30's in it sometime in the future, which one do you think would be better to have as the angled or bottom one?

Not sure really..what I would do is if I ever felt the need of another 412 cab, I would get it and just swap the speakers if the configuration doesn't suit me. They are not that hard to swap. I would even go that far to try to mix them in the same cab, why not, lots of potential there, why not use it smile.gif
