Hehehe smile.gif If every band and every organizer out there, would think like this - we would enjoy more shows, have great bands at every corner and musicians would never be underpayed biggrin.gif Thanks for sharing this mate wink.gif

Great video.. everything Zappa said was perfect sense !

People who didn't cut it in your band either because they couldn't play well enough or their attitude / dedication sucked are always going to blame the band leader, citing the usual 'dictator' B.S. I know exactly how that feels rolleyes.gif

Great vid smile.gif He breaks it down in very real, practical terms. It's "His Band" and he cuts the checks. At the end of the day, he's the one praised or blamed for the performance of the entire thing. So it only makes sense that he demands the best from those involved or it's just going to go badly.

I totally agree! Everyone wants to have an opinion in a band, but when it comes down to responsibilities, everyone is actually running away, leaving one or at most two guys to handle all the s..t smile.gif I know exactly how it feels and when things don't come together as planned, guess who has to take the same s...t wink.gif
