GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Pedal Trouble

Posted by: Xranthoius Dec 24 2007, 09:15 PM

I just got a new Crybaby Wah pedal, but it isn't working! I plugged the guitar into the input jack, and out through the output into the amp. I tried adjusting the volume, tone, boost, everything!!! The battery is new too. What am I doing wrong?

Just in case you don't know it, you should step on the front of the pedal until you hear a clicking noise, then it will work.

If you step on the front of the pedal again, it stops working (bypass the effect).

You probably already know this, but it's the only thing that I can think of!

Good luck.

I agree
Plus on the original crybaby models they are very hard to click the switch with your foot, you might even want to just press the button with your thumb and then try it to make sure it clicks

Yeah probably you didn't push the switch ..Just step on the pedal hard and you will engage it.. wink.gif But if you connect everything and sound does not go through at all than it may be faulty..

Also, check your leads are working properly.

Sometimes the sound gets muted when the switch is pressed. It happens on new crybabies.
