GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Stereotypes And Music

Ok I meant to write this post a couple of days ago but I was still so angry that I couldn't....they would have had to add more moderators in order to edit the post I'm sure Anyways I'm a bit more calm about the whole thing now...kind of...so here goes.
This past weekend I attended a christmas party. It was at a local pub and was kind of a private party thrown by a friend of mine. There were a couple of guys there I didn't know who were playing guitar. One on electric and one on electric-acoustic. They weren't horrible but they weren't that great either. The type of guys who get better the more drinks you consume if you know what I mean. Anyways after about a half hour they decided to take a break, however they said if anyone knew how to play they were more then welcome to do so. This is where all the fun started....
My friend came over to me and said I should get up and play. I usually don't play in front of anyone as get nervous but I had consumed a few bottles of liquid courage so said why not Well the boys were just putting the guitars away and talking to a few folks when I approached the "gentleman" with the acoustic-electric (Oh I use the term gentlemen very very lightly...I'm just trying not to curse.) I asked him if I could play a few songs while he was on break. Well this "gentleman" first looked at me like I had just slapped him in the face and then stole his car, before getting the most smartass smirk on his face. He turned to his buddy whinked and said...and this is pretty much an exact quote..." well sweetheart we don't want to hear any of that Celine Dion crap here. These folks want rock music so why don't you go back to your shirley temple and let the men play the songs. Besides I wouldn't want you to break a nail while playing this guitar." The two had a pretty big laugh.
Well none of you really know me, only from the forum and a few chats, but I'm a pretty happy go lucky type of person. Nothing really bothers me all that much and MOST stuff will wash right off my back with maybe only a sarcastic comment just to get a dig in. But that comment had me so angry that words can not really discribe it. I don't know what made me more mad, the fact that he assumed I couldn't play or the fact that he figured all I knew was wuss rock cause I was a girl...besides I have no nails to break...I play to many sports where nails get in the way I sort of stood there for a moment with a flabergasted look on my face as it turned a very dark shade of plum according to a friend. The juke box came on as they walked away still laughing to themselves about the funny joke they made. I walked away still a bit in awe about what had just happened when rage struck me like a ton of bricks. My friend tried to calm me down but I wanted blood. My boyfriend decided that this was a good time to take me home so we left. Well actually we just went outside until I calmed down a bit.....then I went back in.
The boys got back up a few minutes later as people wanted them to play some more...I moved up front. Well this is when the "gentleman" decided his joke would be more funny if he shared with the crowd. Well there were a few laughs but a couple people said to let me play. He agreed...as he figured I'd be booed off the stage. I'm not the greatest guitar player by any means and I didn't play anything to technical but I did prove my point. I grabbed the "gentlemans" guitar...held it the wrong way on purpose....then kind of laughed as I corrected my hold and played the opening bit of Gabriels Muse lesson to warm up before jumping into "Over the Hills and Far Away" Wasn't the best version of the song as only one guitar but it was enough to impress the crowd and leave the "gentlemans" mouth wide open. I followed with Wonderwall, Laid, Cecilia, Nautical Disaster by the Tragically Hip, Everlong and Creep. My last 2 songs were A**hole by Dennis Leary and Bitch by Meredith Brooks just because I thought it was fitting. I put the guitar on the stand and flicked the pick at buddy as I walked by...I left right after. He caught up with me though in the parking lot while I waited for my cab and apologized....a bit late but life is too short. But it did take me a few days to calm down
I think a lot of people may be able to relate to this story as I'm sure more then a few of us have been stereotyped in our lives. I mean this guy had no idea who I was but figured it was better to act big in front of his friends instead of just letting me play when I asked. I didn't play anything difficult but I did enough so he looked the complete idiot. Like I said I'm not a great guitar player but I know the crowd liked what I played and I played it well.
Does anyone have a similar story of how you were stereotyped when it comes to playing guitar...or even the music you listen too? I posted this in the ladies forum as I know I've had a lot more sterotypes thrown at me for being a women then anything else.(and I'm sure some of the ladies can agree to this) Please keep things friendly as I'm not intending this to be a flaming thread or hurtful towards anyone. And also please keep this a music/guitar related topic.
Thanks for letting me babble with this very long post
rok
PS: Gabriel I've had about 20 people ask me about your Muse lesson. I gave them links to Cirse and also told them they should join GMC
EDIT: I also wanted to add that if it wasn't for this site and all I've learned the last 9 months or so I never would have agreed to get up in the first place let alone do what I did. Gabriel and all the other instructors thanks for being here and thanks for all the wonderful lessons you produce for us to learn. And Kris well what is there to say...the biggest thanks goes to you for this site and everything it offers.

Bummer man that sucks! I gotta say if a girl came up to me at a gig and asked to play I would be like sweet! go crazy! I think girls playing guitar is really cool. not sure why but it just seems fun to watch a girl rock out.

Man, im glad you showed them up, way to go!
As for similar story's....
_ _ _ _
Well a few months ago, a kid brought in his guitar and amp to class was playing, last day before thanksgiving break, teacher didnt care. I was being polite to him, commented on how i liked his gear and walked away. As i was finishing up some random drawing. and i heard him mention something about on how a Metallica song was played (He was debating with a friend over a certain riff, the master of puupets one), all i said was "Thats the right way, except the riff isn't two open pedaled notes, it goes from an open E to F, fret 0 to 1 as the two palm muted notes in the riff instead of two open notes"
I said it politely, and the kid says, "Shut up, what the hell do you know, you listen to that Cannibal Corpse Sh**." (i was wearing my cannibal corpse t-shirt.
Well, my first thought, was "Jesus what crawled up this kids ass and died?" , second thought was "Why the hell does everyone assume since i listen to death metal i have no taste in music? I listen stuff from SRV to Dying Fetus and everything in between. im always stereotyped as the no-talent-hack Death Metal kid at my school, and it pisses me off".....The kid said something else that pissed me off, about how i probably suck at guitar, so i said if he had any balls like a real man, he'd let me play his guitar.....So he did, and i dont wanna brag, but i embarrassed this kid BAD.
Im not claiming to be the best, but i played the hardest song i could think of.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KA67UNstFWM. After i finished the short 2 minutes or so song, everyone was laughing at him, and i just walked away and said nothing.
PS
The solo to that song, no i did not play it full speed Ive only got the rest of the song up to speed, the sweeps were played considerably slower.

I'm of the same oppinion with you; a girl playing guitar is awesome. That guy who said that was either a complete idiot or stone drunk...maybe a little of both.

I judge everyone's playing as if they are better than me, because I have a pretty low self-esteem about myself...considering one of my friends who influenced me can rip off any Mark Tremonti solo perfectly on the spot...it's scary.

I proudly wear my opeth shirt and I have only gotten compliments (it helps to be really really ridiculously good looking of course) for it. I'm sorry to hear about all these idiotic, small minded and sexist people out there, but I'm also glad that a good helping of GMC has proven them wrong

You are the greatest Rokchik! I wish I had been there to see it for sure. Your set list sounded really cool and you had to pick em and play even in the midst of all that emotion - awesome.
I get so sick of being stereotyped, we shouldn't do it to each other people...but we do
Posted by: tonymiro Dec 13 2007, 10:25 AM
Superb reaction from you RokChik - don't get mad get even .
Sadly there are an awful lot of misogynists in the music industry - perhaps more then in many others, for some reason it seems to attract them. The upside is that not only are they stupid (and can only think with their proverbials) but more often then not are talentless wannabies. It's an industry that, imo, too often sets too much store on appearance and is too quick to stereotype.
One experience of mine from the music industry - years ago I was in a band and we had an upcoming very brief slot on TV to play (ok mime) to our new record. TV director meets our manager just before shooting and they talk for a while. Our manager comes to us and tells us that the director doesn't want the keyboard player on stage for filming as, 'he's fat and scruffy and looks like s*** guys - you'll lose a lot of teenbopper sales.' We walked out of the studio and didn't play. Manager the next day told us to 'wise up boys if you want to sell records.' Me, the bass player and the keyboard player quit the group that day and went off and started another.
Outside of the music industry I work in higher education in a university Business School. The previous head of School used to come in to work, pass me in the corridor but would never say hello. One day he stopped me and wished me a good morning. I thought it was strange and asked a friend why. 'XX - the Dean- thought you were a student because of the way you dress and because you have long hair. He saw your latest book and asked YY who the author was and you were pointed out. Now he knows you're staff.'
I have long hair and wear jeans and usually a t shirt, very often a band one - my new Dean hates this, she particularly hates my Carcass T-Shirt . This in a School where the other academics tend to power dress in suits. They all do these clever lectures based on Powerpoint slides full of little bullet points. I go in, sit on a desk and talk, write on the board and debate things with the students. One of my Masters graduates summed up his reaction to the difference here - 'They look the business but know nothing. You may be scruffy but I don't care as when you speak you know the business.'
So again well done and kudos Rokchik and Uncreator- you handled the jerks in the best way possible, shouldn't matter what your gender is, what you look like, what you wear, just 'Shut up and play yer guitar' (Zappa again )
Cheers,
Tony

The list of songs wasn't that hard to come up with to be honest....it's the songs I usually play when I pick up an acoustic. With the exception of the last two, I just wanted to stick it to buddy verbally without getting too rowdy
To be honest I wanted to put my fist through him but that would have turned a bad situation even worse.
To make this story even more interesting, I found out this morning that this guy is playing in our weekly game of shiny hockey on Saturday. If he didn't think I could play guitar wait until he sees me on skates...I'm a much better hockey player then guitar player believe me
Our shiny games can get pretty rough so hopefully he can stand being checked by a girl
@Tony - Kudos to you for sticking with your friends and putting what's right above all else. I think that kind of loyalty is very rare these days.

When people ask me what music I like and I say mostly metal and shred, they will often say "so you listen to Metallica?" That puts me off, since I mostly can't stand Metallica.

yup that is a bit annoying, but as I said in a different thread, its only there ignorance of the genre, they bundle up all the forms of metal etc into one label, just as I did with the "techno" thread, so I`m just as guilty in that respect.
When I say I like Heavy Rock music I get band names thrown at me too, some of them I cant stand (some I`ve never even heard of) I usually just smile and say "yea.. that kind of thing"
Never ceases to amaze me tho that some of my friends that are not into rock, metal etc always ask me to play? I`m very blinkered with what I play and the way I play, its only ever ROCK! or Rock orientated so why is it that they hate this music so much yet go "wow! thats cool" when you play??? dont get it

Wish I had seen it happen.
I have tears in my eyes. Your story is like a movie with a happy ending. At the same time I'm laughing myself silly at the guy. And you ended it with perfect choise of songs even though you where so mad. Ownage.
Uncreator and tonymiro too. This feels so good. And your teaching would inspire me more tony. I fall asleep at PP-presentations.
The things that upsets me most I think, is when people judge me on false presumtions, or think they are more than me because of whatever reason, before they even know me. I hate unfairness.

Hi rokchik
sorry what happen to you. but it was interesting story to read. I am glad what you did. Well done you! I wanted to see those guys' face when you played the guitar.
Two years ago I was thinking to buy an electric guitar. so i went to the shop, the man in the guitar shop was not very nice to me. He was not helpful at all and even humiliate me. After that i didn't even want to play my acoustic guitar for a while because he depressed me so much. Maybe i didn't look like stereotype rockchik or not young enough for him to talk. I am ok now complitely but still i don't like to go to the music shop though. ( i bought my guitar from internet music shop) Anyway, so it is nice to hear your story, you beat them.
And, Muse is the good choice. I love muse. i can play some of their songs, too. ,and i enjoy very much, but i never played in front of anybody. It must be so good feeling to play in front of the poeple who are listening to you.
well done.

Thanks dango. Means a lot. I wasn't really thinking at the time about the people I was playing in front of as much as wanting to stick it to this guy. That's why I kept the songs to ones I knew I could play well and sing OK. Thankfully it worked.
As for your ordeal with the music store that's not fun either. Music stores can be so intimedating even with the nicest salesmen in the world giving you all the help you need, let alone being served by a jerk. One of these days you should go back and rock the place with what you learned here at GMC. Muse would be a great choice

Small story thats hilarious. Ironic this happened
Yesterday i got off work early, so i was hanging out at the local guitar shop, and there was a chick there playing guitar, pretty good too, had some awesome Jazz/Blues licks. Anyway i was looking at some Pedals when some guy asked her if she knew any Vai stuff, then another guy behind him said very sarcastically "Dude she's a chick, shes not going to know".....this comment made no sense to me, and the best part is this...
Dahlia (i later found out her name, after talking to her), just coughed, turned up the distortion and played the Solo to "Blood And Glory"....Perfectly, i mean she nailed every note, she looked at the guys and just said, "You were saying?"
They walked away, and i walked over and shook her hand and congratulated her on her ownage.
Anyway, this reminded me of what happened to you rokchik, so i thought i'd share/

It was pretty fun up there playing in front of folks I must say...I see what the appeal is now actually. But like you GMC has given me confidence in my playing so it made it easier for sure. I never would have done it other wise. I mean I never learned any of the songs from GMC (except the Muse lesson of course) but just knowing how much I've improved over the last 9 months gave me a confidence boost.
Your so right about the forum too. I have never really posted before on forums...only one but it was so mean I never stayed. But this place is so friendly and welcoming. Kris has done an amazing job with this site. It's the nicest place on the web that's for sure. I'm glad your comfortable posting more too....it's great having you around

She is my new favourite person ever
That is so awesome. It must have been so cool to see Uncreator.

What awesome stories. I wish I had one where I wasn't the guy getting pwned though

Good on ya Rokchik you showed them neanderthals!!! Great story, thanks for sharing it.
I wish I had the guts to go on stage with someone else's guitar and play a set!

I was laughing out loud and the guy behind the counter was holding it in, his face was blood red, it was one of the coolest things ive seen
PS
Maybe someday we will see Rokchik up on stage singing and playing the 'ol guitar and shredding up, showing these people just what women can do eh?

There is always a someday
Anything is possible I guess. I did really enjoy myself and I am getting better everyday. This experience really has me practicing extra hard for some reason. I'm hoping to post some things in the new year...have a PodXt ordered but won't be here apparently until after New Years and a new laptop on the way aswell. I really would like the opinion of my fellow GMC'ers on my playing because I know it will be honest and constructive.
Posted by: Steelkonsum Dec 19 2007, 06:50 PM
Sorry for butting in here but I'd just like to add yet another voice of reason to this. Good show rok and uncreator and to the girl nailing em at the store.
I wish I had enough courage and skill to just get up on stage totally unprepared and kick ass. Or play at all at the store.
Im sick to death about women getting patronized or put down because of their sex. But no matter how much you speak for or about it the change will come slowly and those morons at the shop or at the party will wake up tomorrow and they will still have their formed opinion. Its sad but its true, that sort of people tends to have a slow process of learning stuff.
Anyway, time to get practicing so one day I can too show someone off. All Ive ever done is surprise people with being intelligent while dressing "metal". For some reason people expect me to be stupid. Damn people and prejudice eh?

Wow, nice story. I'm really impressed, rokchik, and it must have been awesome to show that idiot what you could do. The other storys are really nice aswell, I love it when rude people who think they know everything about everybody gets what they deserve.

Rock Chick, you are a great guitar player. We found GMC and what we learn is more than entertainers know. That is what those dudes were entertainers. Google Rodrigo Y Gabriela I'm sure you'll be impressed.
I get burnt out from work and have to drag myself to practice and sometimes the guitar just falls into my hands. We have nothing to do with the rest of our lives but continue to learn how to play.
ROCK ON!
edgor
EDIT: I'm gonna go cut my nails and get on the acoustic. Thanks for the motivation.

It seems like people like to put other people each in their own little box or stereotype, as though they couldn't possibly be an individual person. This makes me really mad, but what makes me even madder, is the people that do everything they can to fit into one of these boxes! Living their entire life by what is popular or what others do or think is "cool"... just makes me want to slap them!

Wow cool stories !
I listen to metal (all kinds of metal) and some of my friends generally dislike metal. That's not a problem to me, I respect any other music genre BUT they really piss me off if they just say things like "Damn metal really s*cks, how could you listen to such kind of music." They especially do that when they hear grunts or screams.
I mean I know not everybody likes such music, but you should at least show respect for the people who play it and listen to it.
Like if they listen to music I don't like, I say : "Ok, I can understand that you like this, but that's not my taste."
Not such a big deal but it is really frustrating sometimes

Yep, same thing with some of my friends, it really annoys me when they are mockin' me because I listen to music such as opeth and saying it sucks, and what really bugs me out is when they are trying to imitate the growls or grunts, and doing it in a disrespectful way, like there something wrong with me ??!!!

Being older is another one that gets stereotyped....people assume that you haven't stayed current with music. I mean, I have bought music since David Lee Roth left Van Halen...I do have a radio, etc.
Posted by: The Uncreator Dec 26 2007, 03:50 AM
People actually get mad at me for liking Coheed And Cambria, They assume that since Claudio has a high voice, he sings about breaking up with girlfriends....and that pisses me off, because, well i dont know if this happened to you, but has anyone discovered you like a band and then say something ignorant like "How can you like them all they sing about is this or that!!!", And if anyone has ever actually read Coheed And Cambria's lyrics, the story has nothing to do with that, in fact, there is alot of dark and complex topics such as Death, Betrayal, Lies, Love and so many other things.
I just hate it when people tell me what my music is and isn't when they dont even listen to it

Yeah, for me it was in '98. I decide to lend 2 of my favorite CDs at the time to a co-worker (Nightwish-Oceanborn and Moonspell-Wolfheart).
The next day he asked me why I was still listening to Metal since it wasn't popular anymore. My answer was that I wasn't a sheep and I could make my own decision about music.

I am a new member and have been roaming around the site now for a few days, reading posts, talking with the instructors, so on and so forth. I came across this topic and decided I would add my two cents, for what it's worth, so, here goes.
Some years ago, I dated a woman (who coincidentally became my ex-wife at some point, different time, different story) that was a bar-maid at a local watering hole. A real small, one door, darkly lit kind of place. It's the last bar on the "let's go here since everything else is closed" list. Anyway, to make a long story even longer, I just happened to be in the place with my bar maid girlfriend. The place is moving pretty good for a Saturday night, plenty of people in the joint. They have some kid, maybe 22 or so, playing acoustic sets. He's played some Alice in Chains, STP and the likes. An inehbriated patron starts calling for something a little slower (in hopes, I assumed, of finding someone as intoxicated as he to dance with). At any rate, the young man decides it's time for a break. He places his guitar in the rack and steps away. I promptly asked him if he knew anything other than the aforementioned tunes he'd played. He turned his nose up and said, "Dude, these idiots don't know what the hell I'm playin'" I proceeded to inform him that in fact, someone (myself) did know what he was playing and that there had been a request for something a bit slower. Well, needless to say, he wasn't interested in talking anymore. Apparently rock stars don't have to talk to "the general public" and I was looking for his manager at this point, to no avail. Well, things start back up and the crowd has now formed into pretty much one voice, calling requests for something slower. The kid puts his guitar down and says, "If any of you asses out there can do something, come on up!" You don't know me from Adam, but, I sure love a challenge. I was all over that guitar in a matter of a heartbeat. I had just recently wrote a slower to moderate song called "Jo-Jo's coffee stand" but, that's not what I opened with. Admittedly, I fumbled around with the guitar more than I probably should have, which did have the intended effect. The young man snickered and scoffed to some friends of his. Thats's when I decided to let loose. I played a slower rock song I'd written called "Think about me". The thing about this song isn't that it is difficult, the progressions are quite simple. It's the fact that the lead is played by the rythmn guitar in "chops" while singing. As I finished, he decided his break was over, however, the owner of the place decided it wasn't. He replaced him right then and there, with me, obviously. By this time, my girlfriend had already retrieved my guitar from the car. I played out the rest of the night and made almost $200.00. It was one of the only times I have played live and the only time I have played a bar. At any rate, some time later, I ran into that same kid. To my astonishment, he actually wanted me to teach him a few things about writing and what not, to which, I replied, "Talk to my manager, I don't usually converse with the general public."
It just goes to show you that no matter how good you might think you are at something, someone out there will always teach you something you didn't already know.
I hope you all liked my story and I welcome any comments on it!

Eh why not, I'll have a go.
I'm pretty much a "yuppie" if you want to be a jerk about it. Mid 20's, all my clothes are work clothes, or T-shirts/jeans, so I usually look like some hybrid business casual type of deal. When I go into guitar shops which I have since decided are some sort of fashion show about who can be the most "metal", I stick out. I'm not fantastic at guitar (who admits that?) but I'm decent I suppose. I'm also 6'-6" and built like a former football college player, not trying to brag, but its the truth (if I had a dollar for each time asked where I played, I wouldn't have to pay for my beers), but if I pick up a "metal" guitar I've overheard snickers a couple times. I start test driving it and usually end up making a friend or talking to folks who had previously written me off and have since seen me at concerts and the like. Of course, folks also expect me to be a big dumb jock, which is fine, being underestimated is never a bad thing .

Idiocy is more common than carbon.
Here in Italy there's the saying
"La madre dei cretini è sempre incinta, which means "idots' mother is always pregnant".
I know something about it... and my country is not known as particularly open-minded with regards to women and stereotypes!
The day before yesterday, I entered the music shop near my house, and asked for a distortion pedal from Boss.
The scene has been unbelievable. THe guy who was serving, looked at me with an idiot expression, and then laughed "yes we have one". "Two other guys arrived, to look at that freak who was asking for an heavy distortion pedal: a girlish girl with girlie face - me. They stared at me from head to feet and then said "yes, sure, we have pedals from Boss". Whilst I'm not expert in pedals' subject I tried asking something, such as "what's the main difference with beringer ones"?. At that moment another guy came and they started to laugh, looking at themselves with very amused expressions. "They said "well they are 3 times better!" And went on to laugh. In the end, they didn't show me the effects. I went away with a very wicked sensation, feeling really humiliated. In the end, they didn't even sell a product and had a loss in money for their behaviour. And moreover, I decided not to go anymore to the nearest guitar shop, but prefere to cross all the city to get to another one where they're much kinder.
Another arguement i hear very often, since i turned 25, is: "what do you think about singing and playing, you're too OLD!"
And who says that is always older people (my father which is 58, or my granma!). Well it looks like that time when i was driving my car and a transexual on the road shouted at me "b...h". ME old? Look at you!!!!! Unbelievable....
Well I think people are so cruel with other's dreams just because they're so frustrated, they can't accept someone tries to get fulfilled in his lfe when they don't.

Yeah, luckyly I have a place where I feel at home as well
Sure it's me in the avatar! I am really like that. I know I show less than nearly (sigh! ) 27. But i suppose arguements for the age were because "one at 27 is not young anymore to do what he likes", or things like that.
Glad if you have never had issues like that
Well, the transexual shouted at me because.... he was soooo funny with that silver dress and silver boots... and I was having a laugh seeing him

I come from South Wales, which has been recently heralded as the 'Emo Capital of Europe' which is a pretty impressive feat, due to the succession of such bands as Lostprophets, Bullet for my Valentine, the Automatic and more, and so its pretty hard not to get sucked into the trends that pop up. Problem is, you get ridiculed for not being 'trendy', and just because ive got long hair and wear my favourite band shirts im a 'Goth' -.-
I was assaulted a few months ago (after the local DT & SX gig) because i was wearing a Dream Theater shirt and jeans, which is just rediculous. My oppinion on music, Listen to whatever you want, just a) Dont make me listen to it and dont say that X band are rubbish, just because you dont like them, thats an Oppinion, not a fact.
If a band has fans it cant be rubbish, which is a concept about 90% of the people in my college cannot grasp

I started playing guitar at 28 and will be 31 in April. It's never to late and your never too old to try something new. So you do what you feel you have to girl. Don't let people get you down on your dreams.
As for the idiots at the music store....well I wouldn't let that get you down either. Music stores can be very intimidating places and the sales people tend to be arrogant and/or ignorant (not all but some). Even more so if a women walks in, or for that matter you walk in and don't know a lot. Seems like it's a chore for them to serve you or they get all smart ass like in your experience. It's sad really. But you've found a better store and one of these days you will go back and blow them all away with all you've learned here at GMC and they will bow down to your Guitar Godess powers.

Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I hope that they (the gentlemen) have learnt with this experience. I feel very proud because you played my Muse lesson and they like it! Thank you for giving them Cirse' link.

If it wasn't for GMC I probably wouldn't have done what I did. I mean the lessons here have helped me improve so much and with all the knowledge I've aquired since I joined I feel that much more confident in my abilities. As you know I'm a singer... and I'm 30, but I look like if I were 23/25 . that's because I'm short and I'm always using rocker clothes...Here, in Argentina, girls of 30 are married with kids (like all my friends) or are wearing like a 30 years old girl! The girls like me.. with my age... (the rockers girls) are hard to find. So everyone think I'm 23. It's so funny
Well... The point is that nobody believes that I can rock! but "sweet hard" if you could see me, you'll notice that I can do it! jajajaja
Everywhere I go to play is the same. So I'm so happy when they look at to me and his jaw just fall down. I enjoy it so so so much!
Sometimes the journalists ask me about women who rocks, and I always answer the same thing. Thing are changing... girls can rock and boys are starting to let us rock. So we are sharing place... and it's better that way
Luciana anyone who thinks you don't rock is a fool....I've seen clips of you performing "Tecno" with Cirse and your awesome girl \m/
EDIT: also give them a copy of Bi-Polar....that should change their opinon pretty quick
