GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Worst Weekend Ever!
Posted by: jessi Sep 10 2012, 10:08 PM
I want to share my last weekend with you:
On Friday I worked until 22.00 (it ended with someone puking over my feets)
Then, on saturday I had to work from 6.30 - but (of course) I overslept (normally this ruins the whole day)
Anyway, got to work.
Right after (14.00) I needed to go to the funeral of my ex-boyfriend. He died all of a sudden.
Another worse thing was, that his new girlfriend didn't want to see me there (we seperated nine years ago).
So I needed to be invisible...
Right after: (16.00) dressing up and rushing to a wedding-party
(a polish wedding - they always make wild parties with loads of vodka..) ... as you maybe can imagine, it was hard to switch..
Of course, as I put on my dress, I realized it was busted.. so I needed to wear my 10 years old dress (a classical black one),
in which I can't breath, eat or sit..
Right after: (23.00) my feets where burning already, because of my shoes and my (very big) dancing partner who crunched my feets all the time
I needed to change my dress again (same shoes) for a 40th birthday party of a friend (with loads of tequila and beer)
But because that's not enough, my friends convinced me to go to a 90th party in a local disco with loads of tequila, too.
From there (5.00) I had to walk 3km (with the same shoes) back home.
And the best of all: I wasn't able to sleep, because the cat came into the bedroom (mewing loudly), sat down and eat my plant - very loud..
And the very best of all was the fact, that I needed to stand up at 12.00 and go to work until 21.00
Did you ever experienced something like this?

Man, that sound like a horrible weekend!
I'm really sorry about your ex-boyfriend.
I gotta admit, I would have had a hard time switching between all these ceremonies...
And I really can't recall a day or weekend that comes even close to this!
Hope you feel better now
Christian

Woa.. That's a one kind weekend. And I'm sorry to hear about your ex.
But I've never had a weekend, maybe a holiday, but without the wedding & birthday party.
Also about the cat thing I totally get that, that is seriously annoying..
Posted by: Ben Higgins Sep 11 2012, 09:17 AM
That sounded like a total ordeal, Jessi. Must have been very demanding on you to have to go from one thing to another with no respite !
I hope you don't mind me asking, what job do you do that could mean someone would be ill on your shoes ? Do you work in a hospital or club or something ?

I'm a nurse - in a institution for people with behavioural problems, or mental handycaped, intellectual disability I don't know if its the right translation. They have also antisocial behaviour and some of them are delinquent. Some are also physically handicapped. With resocialization in mind, any time.

I know that in Germany, you have programs for youth rehabilitation - a very good friend of mine has taken one of these kids into custody and keeps him out of trouble here in Romania. He is a certified German speaker and professor and he is payed by the German state to take care of this kid. Out of what I understood, his family is very very poor and they let him on the streets or something, even though he was very good in school. He started doing drugs and that's where it all went down
Too bad he has to be away from home to get back on his feet... At least he has a chance.

Not quite - every week from April to October. I play in a wedding band
And you're right about the vodka
