about a month or two ago i realized that i was using all arm when i alternate pick, probably as a result from learning to play with a poor down picking technique. I have spent an hr or more each night on my alternate picking technique for the last month and a half; however, i cannot seem to get my arm to stop moving when i pick. Does anybody known anyway that i might fix this?

Ok so i no i only show up once and a blue moon and for that i do apologize, but on the note of downpicking im having a little trouble i cant seem to downpick without getting some kind of tension. Ive been practicing it for the last 2 weeks and every time i try my muscles in my shoulder, forearm, or bicep/tricep go stiff on my i guess would be a good word, i.e. i can feel something in one of those areas. Any tips on how to maybe keep more relax when doing this technique?

Alrite so i had a little free time this afternoon (and a good bit of extra cash) and decided to go up to my local music store. I spent about an hr or so playing guitars until i picked up a gibson flying v and it was magical after 10min of playing it i got it for 500(its a normal one not a faded) So i come home and i play for about an hr and suddenly the tuning pegs on my 1,2, and 3 strings fall off i put em back on but when i try and tune up they come off (i fiddled with the pegs for a good hr or so) any advice on how to make them stay?
