They are good amps for sure. Great sound for an easy money!
A combo would prolly be best if it's not a tubeamp though.

Congrats, Line 6 makes good stuff, very good amp modelers...there will always be people that dog anything that isn't pure analog but as far as digital and modeling go you can't go wrong...I had a POD XT Live and the amp models were very realistic in my opinion and the effects were very nice

I must say I absolutely love Line 6 gear. You won't regret that amp believe me, I got a Mesa - I've played the Fenders - a Line 6 is 1/457645967th the price and offers very good quality audio.
Enjoy it dude

I used to be skepical towards Line6 products, mostly from having bad experiences with digital sound quality coming out as plastic in a couple of old Zoom gear and Line6's idea of selling you one thing that put you in a spot where you needed to buy addons to use it full out. I was ok with the Guitarport but still skepical since it wasn't all inclusive, but happily surprised with the POD X3 live for which they don't charge extra for the POD Farm or anything.

I'm not a Line6 preacher yet, but I love the X3 and I'm very happy with the sounds from it.

You will be pleased with it..I'm using my line 6 toneport and couldn't be happier..Of course amp is "digital" but will give a lot of bang and versatility for the price paid.

Line 6 makes good gear for home practice and pilot recordings, but that's about as far as they go. If you need something for gigs or regular rehearsals then maybe something more solid should be looked for. But I repeat, Line 6 is great what they do, there's nothing wrong with that, I own Toneport UX1 and couldn't be happier really, their products are designed with care, and they are a good investment if you need them for reasons mentioned in the first sentence mate.

I run a podxt through a laney lv100 and think the sound is incredible. I don't think it sounds really digital...

I don't about the amps but hey, Mustaine used em so I guess they must be good XD

I can speak from first hand experience. I owned a original Spider 2x12 and a Spider Valve 2x12.

Pretty much everything is said. Great for practicing but not playing live.

I thought maybe the Spider Valve with the Bogner tube amp in it would be fantastic. It was a huge improvement but still lacked that true organic tone only a 100% valve amp creates.

However, for the money and what they do I think the Line 6 Modeling is top notch.

line 6 is very common now, and a lot of people try to stay away from them...

i dont care much for the "amps"

but one thing i have to have to have to (and i cant emphasize this enough) is how user friendly and easy to use line 6 products are....and how much product you get for the price as well...

my first big amp was a spider...it was really good for teaching me about EQs and different sounds...when i stopped playing gigs, i sold it, and bought a toneport...now i play through my studio (its not really a studio, just a toneport with high end speakers) but it sounds great! my tone really sounds professional...

for xmas, i want to get the toneport with the keyboard....i think it would be cool to do some crazy synthy guitar stuff...but ive always wanted to record a solo with nothing but strings in the background, and itll give me a chance to do that high quality.

you will have fun with your amp my friend,

merry christmas!

Yeah for now I'm on;y using my gear for home practice and maybe future recordings. As much as I would love to play live I'm to shy when it comes to my playing. When I get really good I want an egnator amp. They are awesome!
