Song With Three Guitarist

In my music class we had to make a group, the group we ended up making was three guitarist , We don't know what song we should play and if it would sound good. We tried Layla Unplugged it sounds ok we might do that but we need another song to do. Jun 2 2008, 11:44 AM	GMC:er Posts: 94 Joined: 3-March 08	When I was in my first year at music college we had an ensemble group with 3 guitarists, and we played a small show in the cafeteria one dinnertime, we played a few songs that sounded really good with 3 guitarists, the first was The Wicker Man by Iron Maiden, then we did The One & Only by Chesney Hawkes and finally we did Like An Angel by Malmsteen! All 3 songs allowed us to use dual harmony and sounded pretty good!! Also maybe try something by bands who although might not have 3 guitarists still use a lot of dual leads, for example Wishbone Ash or Judas Priest. Brave New World would work too killer song!! Thanks ill play the songs to the other guys and see what they think. One of the guitarist only play acoustic is there any that have one acoustic playing normal chords then one power then lead? Jun 3 2008, 02:23 AM	GMC:er Posts: 71 Joined: 14-May 08 From: Vancouver	I used to be in a Rockband class a few years ago and we always had three guitarists up playing we did such songs: Whole Lotta Love, Rock n Roll, The Ocean ( Led Zeppelin ) Come together ( Beatles ) Santaria ( Sublime ) Purple Haze, Foxy Lady ( Jimi Hendrix ) Sweet Child O Mine ( Guns n Roses ) Lots of BB King stuff and Blues What we did is we all played a solo each, 2 people palyed rythm and 1 person did lead licks and stuff. Rhythm guitars should play different arrangements on the neck but notes that will sound good together. On guitar should be for lead - licks, fills and solos.
