I think it's also really hard to hear if I made mistakes, if I am playing over the original track.
Also if they are obvious mistakes it could be easily heard, but if they are small imperfection is harder to hear them.

You can use Moises App to remove the guitar or any other instrument you want from the original track. It's not perfect, but it does the job nicely. wink.gif On the free version, you are limited to 5 songs/months.

I experimented on some songs with another software which is very good(also not perfect), called Gaudio Studio and it's free and you have unlimited songs. I hope it will stay free because it's too good.

The problem with this kind of software is that when it separates the guitar you will get a single track with both lead and rhythm guitar. So that means I need to record them both.

Anyway when I covered more popular bands like Iron Maiden or Metallica, I could find the real backing track that is perfect.
