So I finally figured out how to get a lot better audio. I just recorded myself with my camera recording guitars basically, and then used the recording of the guitar I did in reaper after it was mixed into the song, and put it on top of the video. I have 2 videos, a second for the solo but its not synching up all that well, so around the solo section, there was some tricky audio editing going on.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy, let me know what you think! smile.gif

PS

Ignore the writing you can see on the guitar, I had friends sign it when I graduated high school awhile ago, so there are some dumb things on it. Most notably my friend Nathan who emblazoned his name and gamertag on it, Not even really creative laugh.gif

I thiink this is a pretty good jam MATE!

It's not really my kind of music, but you got a really nice feel and grove to this smile.gif

There are a few issues with the recording mix, but they are small

Nice!

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Brett, I am not a big fan of your style, but have always loved your playing and in my opinion, you knocked this one out of the park! I was able to listen over the growl and really feel the song, great job! cool.gif

Really nice playing Brett. Love the tune as well. It's very straight forward, no BS death metal. smile.gif

Thanks guys, the mix is a bit off from original song cause I had to take out the rhythm guitar and re-record it for the video. But all in all its better than how it usually is, Just need to get multiple videos to synch up and it will be a lot better.

Nice playing, riffing is awesome. Maybe the solo gets a bit drowned with the backing though, I could barely hear the tapping etc.

Yeah I know, When I re-recorded (Its just the audio from the second video which is not synching with itself) I recorded a bit too high I think and it clipped, so I lowered it a bit which in turn, made it a bit dim.

I want to get the entire 2nd video working, but it falls out of synch no matter what laugh.gif
