New Guitar Day Sorta Rg565. Anyone Else?

Of course, they are all out of stock and the folks at sweetwater aren't sure if the open orders will ever be honored by Ibanez at this point as the guitar is currently out of production. They are hoping that they may get another run some time around October. Uggh. Then again, they told me in all honesty that they may never get another unit, period. So who knows at this point. I know Ben is in the same situation. Then again, evidently wads of folks are in the same situation. These guitars sold out just a bit after being available for sale. I suspect we will start seeing some price gouging on the secondary market pretty soon. All one can really do is hope for the best I gotta say, even the chance of getting one of these is making 2021 look at little brighter This guitar is a bit of a Unicorn for Ibby fans. Only in production for a year and then crazy pricey on the aftermarket. Even a beat up Original run MIJ 565 can run $1,000. The non MIJ reissue of the guitar in red can run $800 on the secondary market and it doesn't even feature the much loved 17mm neck profile. Given how popular 7 and 8 string guitars are just now, and how popular things like roasted maple necks, fluence pickups, and burled tops are on various Ibanez Models, I was really suprised how quickly these sold out. It's a pretty basic design of a mid range guitar from 30 years ago featuring stock Ibby pups. ANYONE ELSE BUYING ONE OF THESE? That would be my choice in colour if a was to get one.The more I look at it the more I like it. I have a urge to get a guitar with a floyd rose again. They have wads of open orders and they are telling folks OCTOBER!!! That is if they ever get any at all, ever again. Uggh. 8 Months waiting. If they do re source these to Korea Indonesia I'm gonna cancel my order, especially if they put a wizard II or Wizard III on it. The guys at sweet water are still taking money, but telling everyone that the order may NEVER actually get filled I shouldn't have waited so long.
