Hi mates!
I sang this song with my class a few weeks ago (I'm a teacher...) and so I thought it would be nice to be able to play the guitar solo. Luckily I found this lesson on GMC: Pink Floyd: Another brick in the wall by Laszlo Boross that helped me a lot.
After all I play it a little different - that's why I do not upload it to the REC program. Please let me know what you think about it. Thanks!

Nice!! I think you should be proud of this. It's not a "shreddy" solo but one that requires a LOT of "feel" and "vibe" as many bits are played quite loose. But if you play it too lose, it doesn't work. You seem to be striking a very good balance here. I'd say give it a couple more runs and then do a rec!!!

Hey there! I'm not sure if this is a kind of feedback you expect but there are essentially 2 thing that could make it sound closer to original - of course if you want smile.gif

1. Long and deep delay, specific for Gilmour's playing

2. You tend to cut of end of the notes in the same way through most of take while Gilmour leaves most of the to sustain.

Those were two main differences that could be spotted right away. But if it was your purpose to do it other way than I see nothing else wrong about your take. Well done smile.gif

Thank you so much, guys!

@Todd: I thought that you can only do a rec if you play it exactly like in the lesson... am I wrong? I changed some notes and finger positions...

@ bleez: yeah, that monster bend was a true challenge - Laszlo shows an easier approach in his lesson sliding up two bars. I practiced it this way but then I was eager to try the full bend - and got some blisters and broken strings biggrin.gif

@ Darius: I tried to play it close to Gilmour's way but with some personal touch. Thanks for the hints, I will try them for sure.
