GMC Forum _ Gabriel Leopardi _ Frusciante Take

Posted by: Darknodar123 Apr 17 2010, 09:31 AM

Hello Gabriel

Well I made take on this awesome and melodic lesson of yours and I would like some opinions if thats possible smile.gif
Moreover, I would like more feedback on the tone and not so much on the playing as you can't really see me and focus on my technique.

Thanks smile.gif

Edit: Also.. IF I were to submit this to REC how do you think you would grade me?

I think this lesson is too easy for your level of skill. I think its a very good take, just one or teo tiny bending things, and you should try something harder. But you wanted a sound-feedback: I like your sound a lot, fat and rich. Do you use Humbuckers? That would explain to me why I'm compairing your sound to Gabriels sound, who uses Humbuckers. John Frusciante uses Singlecoils, which give a more "twangy" sound, more singing and with more trebel.

greetings, peter

Hey thanks smile.gif

Actually I can play 3 level lesson and with some or a lot of effort I might manage a 4 one tongue.gif I play this one cause I really like the melody smile.gif

Also I use Humbuckers tongue.gif You see I use the Epiphone Les Paul which I bought 3 months ago so that kinda explains why the tone is pretty similar to the one Gabriel is using at this lesson.

Hi man! The take sounds great! It's has the same characteristics than my lesson. I originally recorded it using the clean channel of my Marshall 8080. What did you use?
