Hello folks,
I was talking with Gab the other night on Facebook, we were discussing his Lojo guitar and how I could get one, unfortunately it worked out crazy money with the import duties and shipping.
Anyway, as you may know, I'm a bit of a collector, this chat with Gab got my gas all lit up. I ended up getting a PRS SE 30th Anniversary Custom 24 in Amethyst, it's my 50th birthday next month, I'm an Aquarius and amethyst is the birthstone of Aquarius so it all made sense to get one
It's lovely in the flesh, or wood as it should be said
Pics are below in post #8
heheeh here we go again Congrats! share pic.s and sounds when it arrives
Mertay mate,
It's here already, I ordered it on Wednesday night 10pm and it came 9am this morning. It's lovely. The colour is a little polarising but for £499 (original 2015 price was £759) it's a bargain.
Cheers dude.
Visually the birds are much nicer, I mean why have a cutout of a screecher owl on a branch on the 21st fret of normal PRS guitars??? It looks like a blob These birds are lovely.
Sounds a bit different but not hugely to my 7 string.
Need some time with it though. I think the way Gibson/Epiphone are going lately, PRS are going to take a big chunk of market.
Cheers
Congrats Phil! This is a stunning guitar and I also like the idea of the color connected to your birthday. I last week - just had birthday too - wanted a LesPaul as but also had the first time a PRS in my hand and was surprised about playability and feel. I made the only mistake possible, I bought neither one as I could not decide. But we can learn from our mistakes and correct them.
Cheers Tom
Thanks for your kind words Tom, go back to that shop and buy that PRS. The 30th anniversary can be got for good prices now as only a few remain
Okay,
Photobucket is running again, here are a couple of pics of the 30th Anniversary in its new home
Here it is with its PRS brothers
That is a very nice home!
Thanks Rammikin,
This current bout of gas is going to bankrupt me
Cheers
hehehe great news!!! Congrats on your new guitar mate! I'm proud to know that I've inspired you to get a new axe.
I hope it brings lots of inspiration!
Thanks Gab,
It's lovely to play, and looks lovely in real life
Cheers dude
