How To Practice And Get This Yngwie Licks Right? Options

Hi,

I've been playing guitar for 10 years but being so bad at fast picking I changed my picking technique 6 months ago.
During last months I have improved my right hand technique and syncronization a lot. I can play now songs I couldn't previously like some iron maiden solos. I have noticed durign this time it is more important to practice well than practice lota time.

Now, I'm trying again a lick I have been checking for ages, but it is really hard for me. It is played by yngwie in Far beyond the sun and can be seen at 0:35 and 0:56 in this video:

I see how I get stucked mainly when moving form third to fourth and fith string. I play the part on first 3 strings more or less ok.

I know I have to practice slowly, etc... but Is there any exercise, etc... that could bost my technique to allow me to play this song parts?.

I also get stuck sometimes on a problem like yours.
First I try, like you said, to practice it slowly. But it doesn't always work the way I want.
Then I start to practice someting else (or more things). I check the same lick a week later and it goes a lot easier.
So maybe put your attention on something else for maybe a week, and then try again.

Thanks for the answer. The problem with this licks are that they are somehow advanced, so, it is not the same that when you are still learning easier things, you get another "easy/medium" song and then you can play the other. I think for this kind of licks more specific exercises are required. Just a though.

The problem passing from thinner to fater strings make me wonder if hand is getting more resitance when picking them and this is what lead me to "stuck" sometimes when playing on them.

Actually it's not that hard. I believe it goes like this:

High E: 13 (down), 14 (hammer), 13(pull), 10 (pull)
B: 14 (down), 12 ( up), 10 (down)
G: 13 (up), 11(down), 10 (up)
D: 12 (down), 11(up), 9 (down)
A: 12 (up), 11(down), 9 (up), 8 (down)

Practice it at a very slow tempo at first, untill you have all the notes down evenly and nicely, then try it on a higher tempo, say 5 bpm higher, but not more. Practice it till you have it down to the required tempo.

I would follow Zsolt's advice and additionally make the run into a full descending, shift down one note, then ascending etude. That is, do the descending run, then on the last low note, shift down one note and do the inverse run up to the high E, then shift up to the note you first started at and repeat - all to a metrinome.

Also you can practice each 2 strings, and master those two,

then move to the next two,

then try 3
