Does anybody else have lucid dreams ever. I have dreams that I can control what I'm doing and dreams that are highly annoying where I dream I get out of bed and play guitar and send texts on my phone. Then I will be awake and try and find my phone and it isn't where I left it in the dream but exactly where I left it before I went to bed. Also I have dreamt before I have texted someone from the bed to say I'd meet them somewhere at a certain time and I go there but they don't turn up and I phone them and I say like I said meet at so and so time and they never got any text.
It does my head in.

No ive never had a Lucid dream before, I have read all about them. Sounds like alot of fun haveing free control over a dream!!!
Posted by: Robin Dec 1 2007, 05:23 PM
Yeah man, I used to dream that I could fly, and I could control it! That was super funny
I have so many crazy dreams, some dreams I get are like crazy adventures, I can control what I'm doing. In these dreams I mostly dream scary things, really weird places, people and things, though this is stuff I have never experienced when being awake or seen in movies.
One time I dreamt that I got a little electric toy car, and when I woke up I went looking for it and I asked my dad where it was. It seemed so real
I've had so many other freaky dreams, I dont have time to tell about all of them, and I dont think I can explain any of it that well.
It sure is funny to dream

I feel sorry for people who don't have dreams or can't remember them as they are damn cool a lot of the time. Also it's really weird but I tend to like have an archive of dreams that haven't ended when my alarm goes off and next time I go to bed one of the dreams will carry on from where it left off like going to a different chapter. I should keep writing them down when I wake up.

I've thought about that too. I wish I was good at drawing, then I could draw these weird places.
Posted by: The Uncreator Dec 1 2007, 05:35 PM
Ive done that before, had a weird dream in a weird place, and drew it out. I got some crazy stuff!
Posted by: VinceG Dec 1 2007, 05:38 PM
Write it down and we shall try and dissect it. Don't go to a shrink, go to the GMC forum. Its free.

I do, I've been practicing Lucid Dreaming for about two years now through WILD* and WBTB* methods. If you want to learn, check out www.LD4ALL.com . It's a great site with a forum that teaches you all about lucid dreaming. If you're interested, start a Dream Journal, and write down all dreams you remember. You'll soon start to remember many more dreams, much clearer. Every time I've had a Lucid Dream it was tons of fun, I could do whatever I wanted, and I usually ended up as either a professional guitarist or just someone with many many explosives.

Maaan i had loads of those dreams about flying!! The funniest thing was -> it was more of an air-swimming! The moves i did with my legs and hands were 100% copy of swimming - it's just - it was in the air
i miss those dreams so much now!

Seen a few tv programs on it, must be great to be able to lucid dream, I either can only remember little snipets of my dreams or I dont remember them at all, sometimes I wake myself up laughing hysterically in my sleep I do it quite a lot! my wife finds it amusing and asks what I was dreaming about but I can never remember

Robin, heres how it works..
Trolls = Finntroll = Metal = Perfect Health
Posted by: Smikey2006 Dec 2 2007, 03:19 AM
My dreams always have two common themes.. 1 i am some sort of epic hero. Like a "superhero".. ie i can move really fast or fly or w/e but in these dreams im always running from some huge monsterous scary creature and im much to scared to actually use my amazing abilities other than to run faster than normal ppl .
The second dreams always involve me my friends and places ive never seenn but i wish i could go to them sooooo much. even really boring places.. like once i drove to an abandoned quary and just ran around and i wish such a place exhisted that i knew about. Or even malls and stuff. Alot of times my dreams take place in places i know.. but something is always different. 1 example is my dream took place in my home town but there was a train that ran through my town.. and where my public school used to be was the train station. I usually can remember the places in my dreams as clear as day.. but not so much what i did.

Smikey, one great thing about dreams is that you can't lose! Anytime you're being chased by something, turn around and call it out. Ninety-nine out of one hundred times, you'll turn around to something much smaller and weaker than you.

I can sometimes control what i dream, but i can never controll when i will be able to control dreams. It happens ocassionaly and it lasts short unfortunately. Very intersting fenommenom.

The only problem with Lucid Dreaming is I always talk in my sleep and say things out loud that I'm saying in the dream so everybody hates sleeping in the same room as me lol. Apparently once I screamed out man the decks, we need more firepower or else this ship is going down. When anyone stays over they always record it on their phones just to embarass me lol
Posted by: The Uncreator Dec 3 2007, 12:02 AM

Hahahaha!!
I remember once me and my band were playing a gig further south in the country, and we all slept in the same room. Everyone agreed to put the wakeup alarms on 09:00, but I'm the kinda guy that always has to be up extra early just to be sure. So my alarm rang at 08:30 and the vocalist in my band started making noises in his sleep, and suddenly he started saying "Make it stop, MAKE IT STOP!!" He said it in English and everything!
We had a good laugh when I told my band mates about it later, he didnt remember saying anything
Those alarms sure are like torture in the morning

Not when Burzum is playing lol. Yea, my alarm clock is Burzum. Puts me in a great mood in the morning.

Maybe I should start using Edvard Grieg - Morning Mood as ringtone/wakeup call. The regular ring rings PISSES ME OFF. I
HATE when sellers call me in the morning, UGH!!

My alarm plays the first song on the last CD I listened, and one time it was at high volume, and played Priests' "Ram It Down", which starts out with Halford screaming the highest note possible
Damn near pissed myself.

You know that one dream EVERYONE HAS, so says people!!
The one where your falling off a cliff, and wake up before you hit the ground.
I had a semi-lucid dream like that. I jumped, but I didnt wake up before the ground came
Posted by: VinceG Dec 3 2007, 03:51 AM
I never had that dream. For some reason, when I have a fever, I always have the exact same dream. A huge ball trying to roll over me and the whole background is white. like a wallow of nothingness but the huge ball and me. Really creepy.

Really? I thought everyone had it. Well, not a cliff in my case, but wth. Oh and, I do land on the ground but it doesnt hurt. I get on my feet, start walking, then I wake up. Same thing every time.
Also that dream where something is chasing you, but you just keep fallin down to the ground... Pisses me off.

Btw lately I've been dreaming alot about bears
I'm like 200 meters from my house and then I see a couple of bears stearing at me. Omfg its so scary, one time they were standing on our parking lot. Luckily every time I get saved somehow.
Damn I'm nuts.
Cool! Post it here!!
OMG! That's so weird. I very seldom have nightmares but when I do it's always about bears and they try to, or already have, breached into the house. I can somewhat control where the dreaming goes but then comes a twist that makes it worse again. In one I deliberatly sacrificed a friend to the bears so my family could get away. Guess I'm a real bad guy.

Those bears are damn scary. This one time a gigantic polarbear came up from the basement
Oh and, I dreamt that I was skateboarding with Bruce Dickson and Adrian Smith in Paris. They were really good

I never have the cliff dream but had the falling lift one. I'm scared of lifts even though there is 0% chance of modern lifts falling with several cables holding it and several back up cables and brakes in the walls if the cables fail.
