Practice slowly.
Could start by humming as well at first. |

Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to do this, I'm going to be in a band soon where me and the other guitarist are sharing vocal duties but we've never tried this type of thing before, so are there any exercises or anything that could help me and him could use to become accustomed to this type of multitasking? Thanks in advance! Hmm,main problem in there is to split voice timing and right hand's timing, which is rhythm. I'm not going to say anything new Owen but....practice! -------------------- Youtube

My advice would be to practice both in isolation until you can do them on autopilot, then practice them together ...
And another tip (from watching a video of me gigging one time) don't spend all of your time looking at your fingers playing guitar to only look up when you have to sing something- it looks moronic -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
