Hi, I´m a new user, I discovered this class recently and I´m willing to improve my guitar skills.
It´s time since I started tapping but having a look to the basics (I always thought I´ve got some bad habits playing guitar) it is explanide to tap downwards and I´m used to tap upwards (at least with the middle finger, one thing I do right).

The cuestion is...........is there any difference tapping downwards or upwards?, should I start from the start and try tapping downwards?

Thanks and regards wink.gif

well im no expert, but id say since taps are usually done in the smaller strings, it would be more useful to tap downwards so you have less strings to worry about ringing... just a thought.

Yea, it would make perfect since to go the way with less strings, but eventually you wont need to worry to much about that. Because you using your palm, and other fingers to mute the unwanted string noise will fix that, but i thin kthe best way woudl be to go downwards. That is how Kris shows it!!

Ok, thanks guys, I think I´ll try tapping downswards, as it´s never too late to do things right (or so they say at least)
