Hi my friends!
I think the title mightn't be that clear, so I don't want you playing jazz for me, but maybe give me some ideas of artists, bands and songs, which are for you the "Best Of" Jazz...dunno, something which has influenced you ;-)
The reason is that I want to get more into Jazz, and before learning or reading anything, I simply want to listen and to dive into this mysterious world cool.gif

Oh, this gonna be a LOOOONG thread if I will put all my favourites here, but I will try to pick some of the really best one:

Miles Davis "Blue in Green" from the album "Kind of Blue", in fact every song on that album are favourites. A milestone in jazz.

John Coltrane - Moments Notice, he was like 10-15 ahead..... The chord progression is awesome!

Thelonius Monks "Round Midnight", here sung by Chaka Khan, but there are numerous good version of this beautiful ballad.

Joe Henderson "Milestones" with Scofield, Dave Holland, Al Foster. This record is epic....

Pat Metheny "Lonely Woman" by Horace Silver, beautiful Song.... (watch in HD)

Michael Brecker on Sonny Rollins "Oleo", everything by MB... :-)

Pat Metheny on the classic "All the things You are, some jazz guitar shredding... tongue.gif
