Hey guys, let's share here methods of recording video!


I think it would be great for members to know what are the most effective ways of recording video. There are series of steps needed to be done to record something, and it usually involves parallel recording within DAW software and with the camera.

I capture some video via FireWire, some goes directly on SD cards, and audio goes straight into cubase. Then I edit it all later.

However, the most important thing is to make a script and prepare yourself for recording. If you think about your videos and how they will look in advance (before recording and editing), you can save yourself a LOT of precious time in the editing process. With couple of tricks (or if you have video switcher/multiple capturing capabilities), you can make good looking/edited videos very fast.

So, preparation is 50% of the work
