I found Masterclass by accident, too. I am an old Beatles/Byrds fan from the sixties. I am retired, but I can't put down the old axes -- my stratocaster and my rickenbacker 12 -- hence the name stratobacker. I enjoy playing more than just about anything else....as modest as it is. The first time I heard I Feel Fine by the Beatles in 1965 or so, I knew I had to learn to play. Since then I've been trying to learn on my own with no professional lessons. I even played in a couple of bands in high school and college. I've picked up a few licks here and there from watching live and from studying books. My rhythm work is probably about a B- grade with lead being D-. I know I'll never be able to shred but I know I can learn some cool leads and riffs.
My iPod is ruled by the Beatles, Byrds, The Alan Parsons Project, Pink Floyd, Sting, Don Henley, the Eagles, and a bunch of contemporary Christian artists like Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, MercyMe and Third Day.
