John Petrucci 8 String Majesty!

For the upcoming DT recording sessions, Petrucci is going to get an EIGHT STRING version of his MAJESTY guitar. I wondered how long he could go without joining in on the fun He's been a 7 string guy for a long time of course. It looks like he is finally going low and adding that deeeep string. Of all the players out there, I'm curious to see what he does with it. The vocabulary of eight string licks could use a bit of JP imho. I wonder if he will take the TOSIN ABASI funk bass approach or do something else? If I remember correct, either Ernie Ball couldn't make him an 8 guitar on time or couldn't make a good 8 string guitar. I don't think the company ever constructed an 8 string guitar before. I hope the actual guitar looks a bit more balanced They evidently tried it once before and it didn't work out.
