Just ran across this old song that I used to play over and over again on my tape deck when I was an early teenager.
Kids and gents, experience some 80's MAGIC! Your life will never be the same again.
Oh yes, I remember this one! I think we should make this the "official 80's rock/metal thread" and bring some life back into some classics!
Here's one for ya from 1989, I was 16 then and this one really had the fist in the air!
Alright, time for a bump. Lets get this 80's thread going.
One of my favorites when I first listened to them was this band. Classic 80's.
Enjoy
Yngwie needs to shoot himself if he gets any faster. He is not human hahaha good songs mates!
Great songs Jeff! Here's another one of my all time favorites, born on date..1986..
That's a good one to mate!
How about this one! It's a clip of Monte playing back in the day.
These guys rock also!
Who would have thought that guitarist would become a dentist! That is a cool tune. Let me take you to somewhere around '88... I just love the guitar work in this tune and have posted it several times before..
The 80's RULED!!!!! I miss the days when I would listen to the radio and hear a cool guitar solo I had to learn.....even though back then I had NO CHANCE in hell at playing it......
I'm off to scour youtube for some cool vids........\m/\m/
Oh wow here is a good one.
Enjoy!
One of my favorite covers from the 80's.....\m/\m/
I LOVE VITO BRATTA.....Shame he got out of music.....
I liked these guys too....not classic 80's but I still remember trying to learn this guitar solo.....
Wait, waaaait, good ones Monte, and Jeff knows I'm all about some Dokken.. one more for me and I'm off to bed..Micke will have to pick it up in the morning too!
Anybody remember these guys.. Micke will ..
Skenny reminded me of what a great band Tesla was.......
You know Jason will find this thread and have a bunch of fogies setting around talking 80's metal in a comic strip.. Cool!
BRING BACK THE 80'S!!!..Off to bed..
I said I was done but I can't leave on a glam note when talking 80's metal...Here are the boys doing one of my fav's!
Alda Nova, man that is going back!
This was one of the 1st songs a figured out by ear when I was around 13 - 14 years old.
I played it in front of my family with my Peavey amp and a Hondo 2 Les Paul copy with a pickup upgrade thanks to a friend of mine.
Love the opening riff in this one...Live '89
I actually quite like this song, awesome riffs
Getting away from metal a bit but still a rocking tune that I think we can all identify with and another one of my all time fav's from the 80's, around '84 I believe..
You can't have an 80's thread without a bit of pure 'Cock Rock'!!!!!!
I'm coming here to give you all the universal truth, the thing that makes all things make sense, the one, the only............
83' I believe, remember this one? I was just starting to reach "that stage" in my life and loved this tune, as pretty much all the material off the album...
These are from 80's. I used to love this style and still makes me happy when I hear it
Accept! One of my alltime favorite bands, UDO rocks
I saw UDO this summer actually, he was still great!
Thank you for all this amazing videos! I had that Steleer album in cassette. It has a label that said "Yngwie at the age of 17". I'm amazed of the fact that Yngwie shows all the skills that made him famous as a guitar hero in this track. It's not imposible to play this at the age of 17 if you start to play the guitar young.. but he was inventing the neoclassical metal style. Killer!
When I was young, I was terribly metalhead who hated those glam and hard rock bands. Now I love them!!. It's strange how it works, isn't it?
OK, this video is just a few years before the 80's but this band still had a huge impact back then on Rock!
I thought this was a good find
Sorry And another!
Well the Wheel in the Sky kicks butt right?
Awesome memories there Jeff! Let me take you back with this one...
Man that does bring back some memories bro!
Being a big Red Neck from these parts this became one of my favorites.
Enjoy, Good Night
Well maybe one more, but that's it!
This one means a lot to me.
Sorry for another post but this was one of my favorites and it took a while to find a good clip, Enjoy!
Does anybody remember these guys?...
It's a little pre-80s, but well,...
This is a cool thread! I've been round the hard rock scene since I got my first record (actually it was a tape that mother gave me when we was on holiday, Deep Purple, Made In Japan... Yeah, Im THAT old...*lol*)
Anyway, all of us had heard Deep Purple, but I'm not sure that the younger players remember this guy.
He sure had a lot off impact to players that came after him, like Yngwie & the others. In the beginning of the eighties there was Van Halen, Gary Moore, Michael Schenker, Rainbow and maybe a couple of others. Then around 83/84 a new wave of hard-rock came that went out into metal instead. At least as I remember it.
The record that has a huge impact on me from that time was "Assault Attack", which I still have, but probably is worn out...... Michael Schenker was (and is) a great melodic player and was a member of UFO in the seventies before forming his own band with Gary Barden & Cozy Powell from Rainbow. Enjoy !
Love that acoustic part!
Awesome stuff guys!! Heard this one this morning on the way back from getting breakfast, from 78 or 79 I believe...This one always gets me going!
It's time to bump this thread!
So, here you go!
And another!

And another one... I've always thought this band was a little underrated, certainly not the best but I felt they were better than they got credit for.
