GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ The Most Addictive Game Of All Time

A few WOW topics have popped up lately, So I thought would ask what you guys think is the most addicting game of all time.
Now, as addicting as WOW supposedly is (I can't get into it), I have to say that Everquest is the most addicting game of all time, I played that so much (and all the expansions that followed) till there was absolutely nothing left to do in there. Game is fantastic, great party aspect, and the challenge of taking down a massive ice dragon was always fun, and the areas (despite its lack of superior graphics), were beautiful.
Next in line I would have to say Diablo II

GTA IV for me so far- haven't put it down since xmas..but i doubt ill be playing it for too long now, i've almost finished it.

Hmmm Tetris and Mario and Counter Strike definitely...I haven't been able to get addicted to any recent games..

call of duty, search and destroy matches were insane and intense
we used to sit there for hours and find out where to throw the grenades to have them blow up in certain spots and practice our attack and defense
talking to your teammates on your headset and setting up your attack was very addictive and then seeing how your team was doing on the twl ladders and in cal standings
there was nothing like it

I would say one of the many mmorpgs out there.. Probably WoW because it reaches a much wider audience than the others, but also Everquest, Lineage etc..

star wars battlefront 2. I've allready beat it several times, now im going through having fun with cheats! (don't I allready beat the game before)

Used to play Star wars knights of the old republic 2 all the time (Played it so much I know every result of what you say or do)

GTA serial for me but check this out,
my cousin managed to finish Tom Raider 2
on PS2...without memory card!!!

Final Fantasy Tactics. Completed it with mastering everything on PS version and now nearly done on PSP version with all main characters.

For PC - Mafia, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2, COD4. But the hands down time killer winner for me was...SILENT HUNTER III

I was totally and utterly hooked on Americas Army for 2 years, I couldnt get enough of that game! Then i found guitar and gave up, which is really good!

The only 2 games I ever finished were 2 Zelda ones on the N64!!!
The Ocarina of Time was the first and Majoras Mask was the second! I never really got into Game playing though!

Agreed. Call of Duty 4. I loved Search and Destroy. I was a 10th Prestige 55. I just loved that game.
I played it for a year, and once I stopped I had 16 days playing time
Wish I spent 16 days on guitar now !

Wish I spent 16 days on guitar now ! I bought an XBox 360 the summer of last year and loved CoD4 but ended up selling the Xbox because I wouldn't put my guitar down long enough to make keeping the Xbox worthwhile.

At the moment I'm replaying through planescape torment with tons of fixes and updates added on. Keeps me glued too the screen for at least 5 hours a day

No matter what, I play it for atleast a month before I realize what I'm doing... Couple of months goes by, and I install it again....
This has happened again and again since The Sims was released... Now I'm just waiting for The Sims 3 to come out

This is kinda cool because I was addicted to Wow for like 2 years...one day I said All this effort and nothing in life to show for it ..so I picked up my guitar suspended my subscription to WoW and subscribed to GMC ! Now I have something to show for my time That game was horribly addicting
