Well I think you can mix brands..Every pickup has its own distinctive sound..So you can mix different brands to find your own sound!

Yes you can mix different brands. Like USAMAN says, mind the colors!
If you're thinking of using the bridge pu for one style and the neck pu for another you could mix very different style pu's with eachother. But if you like me try to keep pickups that match eachother beaware that too much creativity and your guitar is off the chart. A tip is to go to DiMarzio or Seymour Duncan and look up "Artists" and see the classic combinations they use. -------------------- My bands homepage
