Hi all
I've never used a midi keyboard. Anyone could give advice about buying one to start with. There's so much to learn out there..............it just gets sooo annoying Software, hardware etc... I can't even get time to practice guitar wink.gif if I want to learn to master all these things.
Thanks in advance

I use Oxygen 49 keyboard. It's a nice MIDI key with knobs and faders. I recommend it.

I use Behringer UMX 49,and it serves me fine. And if you want to use her just as a keyboard, you just plug it in and play,it is USB plug in.But if you want to use the keyboard and as a midi controller, you need to install the software that comes with here. The price is 100 euros.

I´m also interested in a midi controller, but what I´m looking for is a midi input for score editor, it doesnt even have to be sensitive or have pitch weel or other knobs, just as little as posiblle usb midi keyboard.

Gerardo you have a wide variety of keyboards for that purpose. Almost all today models are velocity sensitive + pitch and modulation wheels. So a 4 octaves (49 keys) with those options wihtout any controllers is very cheap, here around 100e and maybe even less.

+1

Small cheap ones tend to have most of that stuff standard. You start paying more for aftertouch, weighted keys, etc.

I snagged an Edirol PCR-49 off eBay for under $100 a couple years ago. Nothing fancy but it works with what I have and it gets the job done.

Axiom 49 is a guality controller, you won't make mistakes there. Nevertheless, Enigma software that comes bundled is terrible, and you will have to evenutally map all the commands in DAW manually (except you work in Abletone Live that only has direct support).
