Hehe.. excellent stuff ! Just a quick question to everyone: Where does the string usually break for you ? At the bridge or in the middle, somewhere on the neck ?

With me, it's in the middle, wherever I've been bending it. rolleyes.gif

Good one lol
My strings break at the middle as well, most of the time...

In my case I remember it was ner the bridge, but that was on an old tele I had. I believe it had some sharp edges there, because it has never happened again on any of my guitars!

Great Comic smile.gif For a while I was using a pick made of Metal as it gave a great rythm crunch but it would snap strings like crazy. It wore straigh through the higher strings in about a week. I had to quite using it. Switched to acetate picks and vpicks. Not quite a nice a sound, but they don't make me pop strings every time I play.

Hey, guess who just tried to do a whole-and-half-a-step bend and broke a string.... biggrin.gif But not the string I was bending, but the string above it! This is new. laugh.gif

hehehe I have these kinds of fears all the time smile.gif) My bass strings break at the bridge most of the time.

haha brilliant one! tongue.gif

My strings are always breaking just 5 minuts before the shops close tongue.gif and yea, somtimes you forget to buy a 2 packs of strings tongue.gif

I think every guitarist has done that while playing!
... well the ones like me that get overly excited after learning to bend, after once you kinda learn the limits.

Hahah I have that problem with gear all the time. I only have the urge to get something new or to get new strings or something - over the weekends when shops are closed! sad.gif

Near the bridge. It's been a while since a string broke in the middle of the neck, wonder why?

laugh.gif HAHAHAHA! How did I miss this one?! This is so funny! It's been a while since I've broken a string. I usually changed them before they have a chance to now. But I remember when my first string broke, for the first time on my first electric guitar (lots of 1st happy.gif ) - and I was like, "OH NO!!" biggrin.gif I thought I broke the guitar! haha

Embarrasing, been there and it's been worse for me. At a gig, I did the opening bend for the "Sweet Child O Mine" solo, ended up breaking my E string. Good thing there was a back up string or I'd have been busted. Oh well, I remember now to use a thicker guage.
