Valvetronix ad100vt, $500. I've played it with a hellraiser even, and it sounds great.
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Vox...-Amp?sku=482623 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yayu2Qq-SPw Alternatively there's the Ad100vt-xl, which is supposed to be the more "high-gain" version of the valvetronix line, which is a little more. I've never tried it though, but I can vouch that the other one can get plenty heavy. This one's new on the market I think. -------------------- Gear: Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster, Gibson '67 RI Flying V, Mesa Boogie F-30 112 combo, crazy pedals.

At that price, if you live in the states, it is a no brainer. They don't put Celestion speakers in anymore (mine have those), but they also dropped the price a little. http://www.carvin.com/products/single.php?...LAIR&CID=GA |

That one looks cool though. -------------------- Gear: Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster, Gibson '67 RI Flying V, Mesa Boogie F-30 112 combo, crazy pedals.

And you get spring reverb with the Carvin, which can be nice. Agreed,Carvin is awesome!! Regarding to the fact that you're into Hard Rock/Metal stuff,Mesa-Boogie will probably fit the best. But price... -------------------- Youtube

Yeah, I suppose the first thing lots of people do is change the Chinese tubes in their Valvekings into something better.
Good that Carvin was brought up. Not a common brand over here and I'm not familiar with the different models except for the Legacy. -------------------- My bands homepage

Do you live in the States? If so, you need to check this out. I'm trying to save the money to buy this in a month. But I've only heard good things. And it's all tube.
