Transcribing Vocal Melody Lines

They have a lot of dynamics and little detailes in their melodies that of course got reproduced on other instruments as well. Turning songs into instrumental pieces is a common thing, but I believe you can learn a lot about phrasing (using space and less notes) imitating singers' lines. What modern songs do you find really appealing and exciting to your ears and worthy for a fun and productive imitation? Your guitar playing skills will reach incredible heights if you imitate the human voice.
