Quite interesting
awesomely usefull.... different tuning options are great
It's awesome but I don't understand something... is this one similar to the Gibson robot or it has an auto-tune before the output?
Pretty handy I like the auto intonation feature as a bonus. Not to mention that if you were playing live and busted a string, it would keep everything in tune for you until you could swap guitars or what not. It would be great if you could disengage it and just tune then turn it on in a pinch. Even an external pedal or rack that did the same thing would be handy.
This one is using DSP so it's not physically tuning the guitar like the gibson. The GIbson from what I remember actually turns the tuning keys using small motors. Where this one uses signal processing to modify the sound. Would make a handy plugin as well if there was a software version. On my fav guitars there are always some spots on the neck that just won't intonate properly due to wear or whatev.
I had a chance to play Gibson robot, but tuning is much slower than on this guitar, here is almost instantly !!! But can't see very well - whether the bridge is fixed or ? Anyway, great different tuning option, that's really useful for a different genres, you don't need to drag 3,4,5 guitars !
The tuning of your strings doesn't matter - it doesn't change the physical tuning, it 'simply' autotunes them digitally, which is why you can be perfectly intonated everywhere on the neck.
I've also heard a lot of people complaining about the Gibson guitars breaking their strings - that doesn't happen here (for obvious reasons). Even better, I heard this will retail at about 500 US. Makes it worth trying out and see what it's all about.
However much extra this costs, isnt worth it to me!
Im not that lazy
