Just got back from a meal with my good lady and much ale and wine,
Installed Toontrax EZmix, spent over half an hour trying to sort out why I couldn't get the signal from my guitar to come through the speakers, ASIO settings, input/output, uninstall, re-install a couple of times, re-boot etc etc.  Hadn't got the bloody cable plugged into the guitar  -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE  “Success is not obtained overnight. Lol man this happened to me numerous times on stage and in studio. Each time I'd find out what is the exact issue, I would just play cool and pretend as if it was something too complicated to explain in details
I'd just nod and say, OK I got it ...and it would be just plugging in the the cable, electric cable or turning the volume knob up on the guitar
