There is no need to be discouraged, you just learned the song right? It takes some time to refine the mechanics and skills needed to play it to a point where you will have total control. In time, you will play it better and better, just have to be patient. That guy who made the cover sure didn't post it right after he learned the song if you know what I mean

Now that you have the notes, start paying attention to very little details, like vibratos, bendings (how fast, slow), and tone (if you have a POD try imitating what Slash used to use, I think it was a JCM900). and of course timing (when do phrases start inside a bar)

You should not feel discouraged. Especially from youtube videos. You have accomplished your first goal - learn the song. Aiming for perfection is good, but you just can't replicate someones feeling and tone in exact detail. You can get close to it but I don't think that it should be someones main focus.
