I have about 1/4-1/3 sticking out usually.

It's a matter of personal preference. I keep just the tip visible most of the time.

I am playing kind of like Lian Gerbino is holding the pick that feels mst natural to me and you should also feel what works best for you

I've never actually examined this in my own playing. I just stick with what feels most natural.

There is no right way to hold a pick, everybody holds it slightly different. Important is that you are comfortable with your way of holding it.

Just be sure that you do not move it a lot during picking techniques.
I had that issue years ago when I was totally changing the grip while going from AP to sweep etc. It's very hard to achieve specially if it comes fast one after another.

Great tip Muris, holding the pick in the same position while different practicing sessions is essenital indeed.

Muris is absolutely right, when you want to change from one technique to another and you will try to change your way of holding the pick at the same time you will be lost
