GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Student Instructor Guidelines

After some thought and a little more discussion, taking onboard some of the comments and suggestions on the additional guidelines posted a couple of days ago we have decided to change them a little.

On reflection the levels may have been a little high, but thats whats putting it out there is all about right?
Suggestions are always going to be listened to if backed up with a little reasoning behind them as opposed to simply disagreeing

So with that in mind keep your suggestions coming if you have any, the ones already posted in the last thread have either been added or taken onboard for possible later addition

**Additional guidelines (added 14/06/2008)

A Student Instructor Badge will be placed in a members profile once they have submitted 3 video lessons or 5 audio/written lesson that meet the above criteria.

In addition, to maintain the SI status a Student Instructor will need to be posting lessons on a regular basis, this will be reviewed on a two monthly basis.
In this two month period a Student Instructor will need to have posted either 2 video lessons or 4 audio/written lessons.
There is of course some flexibilty to these guidelines, members producing lessons should contact either myself or Andrew Cockburn if they are having any technical issues or holidays etc that may mean that they cannot submit the amount of lessons in the two months period.

First review period will be at the end of August giving the exsisting Student Instructors a little extra time to produce some lessons if they wish

Sounds very good

And I agree with the amount of lessons required to be an SI

(I also agree with the next evaluation period, as it gives me some time to make another lesson )

Those are very cool suggestions! I think now it is reasonable that people will make great lessons. Good job guys !

Great! glad these seem better for everyone now

Can maybe look at some of the other suggestions from the last thread once we start getting some more regular lessons

I agree with you Chris. Also if you could consider the three level badge that would be beyond cool.
