Hey there mate and welcome to the REC Zone!

Ithink that you are on the right path with this lesson - the timing is good and the playing is clean, but I have a few suggestions and observations regarding some important details:

- in the lead section, you are a bit under pitch, imperceptibly under, but still not 100% confident when bending and sustaining notes - it is felt especially somewhere around 0:23. In my opinion, this can be solved if your thumb will grab the neck of the guitar and offer the needed support for the wrist to work properly.
- the timing around 0:38 is a bit shifty, so maybe slowing down a bit, isolating that lick and understanding it rhythmically would help - where exactly does it start and where does it end? I sometimes have some trouble playing some things because I don't take the time to understand them from a rhythmic perspective, but as soon as I do, everything falls into place naturally.

Your take will be taken to the next level if you try these things, I am sure of it!

Hey Gill, it's about time ! 4 yrs at GMC without poking your toe into the REC ? Welcome

Cosmin's right about those aspects. Your bending needs to be stronger. You're just about reaching the pitches but it's taking a lot of effort... you want to be at the point where it's much more natural and easy to just whack out a few bends. I'd say it's mainly a question of finger / hand strength at the moment... and making sure you're in the optimum position for bending.

When you play single note riffs and lead lines, it feels like they're not flowing together smoothly. As if there's a hair's gap between each note whereas Gab's version sounds as if each note flows into the next. What I believe is happening is that you take your fingers off the notes just a tiny bit too early. Have a listen to the riffing at the beginning and again around 00:39. I would say it's just because you're not as confident with lead playing and quick position shifting. That's all there is to it, really. Nothing major. This will naturally sort itself out the more you play this kind of stuff

Hi Gill! Congrats on your first REC take!

This one is evolving well and I think that both Cosmin and Ben already marked the things to work on this one. The main issues appear when you reach the lead section. There, you should work to make the licks sound more consistent, adjust timing, bending, and the sound of each note in faster licks like the one around 00:37 in which your hand go a bit out of sync and the licks loss clarity. I's also very important to make the connection between notes and licks smoother so listen to my take again and note how I manage notes duration.

The rhythm section sound good, but the tone could be improved if you pick stronger and with more variations with your right hand in order to give it more dynamics. Sometimes you pick the notes a bit weak, so please also take care of it.
