I started this lesson in 2015.
I gave up because the speed of riff was more hard for me.

Today, I improved my playing and I can play faster.
It's not perfect, This lesson is really hard about precision.
I gave the best of myself

Wow - so cool to see you cover one of Chris' lessons. Since his roots are in country it seems he has a different approach to everything - including very rock:ish techniques.

I can tell that practicing this lesson will have a major impact on your style and it will def broaden your 'bag of tricks'.

My overall feeling is that you are well on your way to nailing this one - though it still feels like you are on the practicing stage.

My main point of improvements would be:

* keep working on your 'snappiness' - as this makes up for an important part of this style. This means both fingerpicking with a bit more punch - and also deadening/dampening the notes when appropriate.
* your tone sounds a bit scooped compared to Chris', as if lacking a bit of midrange.
* relax your timing a little. It is very natural to play a little bit ahead of the beat as you are trying to figure it all out.

As usual there is nothing critical to comment on, you are on a good path mate 👊

I won't grade you to be fair with students who work on nailing their version in one take - but to me this is roughly a 7!

Hi Manu! You chose a beautiful but really tricky lesson. It seems easy because has some repetitive patterns but it's full of details.

Before to I go further, I want to tell you the fact that your progress is huge, constantly and very visible. I hope you are aware and very proud about it.

Let's go straight into analyze:

0:11 - this vibrato it's a little out of tune.
Also try to play on this part the G note and the slide from G to A with the downstroke, as Chris made in the lesson. The difference between upstroke and downstroke it's audible and sometimes can break the flow (mostly in this particular type of lessons where the accents are the juice).

0:21 - the double stops - I think this part still require some additional practice at a slow tempo. It doesn't sound perfect yet and also from the timing point of view, you hurry this part.

0:25 - you skipped the vibrato from the F# note. Here you should play that kind of bend with a wide vibrato. It's a cool thing which gives a different flavor.

0:35 - the dead note it doesn't sound dead in your take. Before this point you played the same passage correctly but on the mentioned place you let that note ring.

Your hybrid picking it's cool but too smooth for this type of lesson. Kris already mentioned about "working on your 'snappiness". Would be awesome if you will play with more intention. I mean, add more strength to your right hand, literally bite the strings with your fingers because you need to achieve that chicken picking sound. The key to make this work is by plucking the strings from underneath.

I know you have the perfect skills to take care about all these tiny details.

You did an awesome job as usual. Unfortunately, I can't grade you because it's not recorded in one single take and we need to follow the rules.
But...from me you have an 8. Seven for playing and 1 because you chose a challenging lesson instead to coming up with something that you already can play. I know how hard is to get out from the comfort zone and I think it worth a reward.
